About Baileygate Holiday House


Baileygate house is a beautifully restored 18th century stone built house formerly part of the Duke of Northumberland’s estate. 

The house combines many original features including inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams and original stone walls, alongside contemporary fittings offering both charm and comfort. 

The house is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and accommodates 6 with two bathrooms, two large reception rooms and south-facing patio garden.

Spacious hallway with coat and boot store and giant wall map of Northumberland to guide your holiday exploits.

Sitting Room

Restored inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove.

This room has ample soft seating including a futon for occasional extra guests and TV, DVD and Hi-fi.

Kitchen / Dining Room

Large kitchen-diner also with restored original inglenook and wood burning stove.

A fully fitted kitchen offers all modern facilities including washer-dryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, cooker and microwave.

Patio doors lead to a small, secluded garden – a pleasant outdoor oasis with garden furniture, barbecue and covered bike and wood-stores.
